The coronavirus disease, popularly known as COVID-19, has unquestionably made life bearable for the several months that the virus has been spreading. In fact, everyone is pretty much affected by the virus now, if not already infected.

As COVID-19 takes a toll on the global medical and economic sectors, we can only hope that researchers find a cure for the highly infectious virus. For now, we’ll have to contend with the numerous repercussions of coronavirus disease, one of which is travel restrictions.

Presently, the cure for COVID-19 is yet to be found. However, the situation isn’t all doom and gloom, especially for travel enthusiasts. While the virus may have pushed our finances to the limits, it’s still possible to explore plenty of enchanting tourist destinations without burning a hole in your pocket.

The following are the seven top tips on traveling on a budget during these financially challenging times.

1.   Book Online

Online bookings and reservations have become common during the COVID-19 pandemic. But booking your flight or accommodation facility isn’t just a measure to curb the spread of the virus. It’s also an excellent strategy for budget travelers.

Booking online saves you the expenses you’d have otherwise incurred traveling to the airport or a travel company’s physical offices.

Another advantage of booking online is that it allows you to compare prices. After honing in on a couple of hotels or airline companies, you can easily compare their costs against their services to settle on the most affordable option.
