Components of the emotional intelligence.

The emotional intelligence is of “fashion”. In fact, in this page write numerous articles on this thematic by what was necessary to deepen a bit more in this term. Only 20% of the success in the life is related with the intellectual coefficient, the remaining is related with other factors like the health, the social class, the luck or the elements that constitute the emotional intelligence. These components of the emotional intelligence are: autoconocimiento, self-supervision, automotivación, empathy and the social skills. Defining the emotional intelligence. 

Definitely speak of Daniel Goleman (California, 1946) is to speak of emotional intelligence. This afamado American psychologist published his work Emotional Intelligence andn 1995 and popularised the term that already other psychologists had mentioned in his works, between the ones of more repercussion the studiesof  Salovey and Mayer (1989) on emotional intelligence, imagination, cognition and personality.

Definition of emotional intelligence, according to Goleman.

In words of Goleman (1996), “in each one of us  solapan two distinct minds: one that thinks and another that feels”. We could say that these types of mind are relatively independent, with different cerebral circuits but that at the same time are interrelated.

Therefore, Goleman defines the emotional intelligence like some conjoint skills that allows us, between other things, take the reins of our emotional impulses, comprise the deepest feelings of our similar and handle kindly our relations.

Components of the emotional intelligence. 

As we said at the beginning of the article, five are the components of the emotional intelligence that interact between them and between the rest of intelligences to a successful personal development: autoconocimiento, autorregulación, empathy, motivation and skills interpesonales. Autoconocimiento Emotional. 

Also called autoconciencia emotional, does reference to the capacity to recognise our own emotions and how affect to our state of spirit. The people with this very developed skill sample: confidence in himself same, an autoevaluación realistic and a sense of the humour autocrítico.

Emotional Autorregulación. 

Basically to what does reference is to the skill of self-supervision on our feelings in a moment die. That is to say, know react appropriately during a crisis or a moment punctual and control our emotional impulses, for example during a discussion. Think before acting. The people with high capacities of self-supervision are used to to have high levels in confiabilidad, opening to the change or compliance with the ambiguity.

Automotivación. 

It is the skill to direct the emotions to put them instead of against the problems, keep motivated in the achievement of the aims. Mentality emprendedora and positive in front of the adversities. These people are used to to have a high impulse to the attainment and a big commitment in the projects in which they wrap .

Empathy. 

The empathy is the recognition of the extraneous emotions. Know as it feels  the another person by his expressions, gestures will help us to keep some good social relations, more real and durable that will allow us identify us with the emotions and with the people creating bonds stronger.  The people with high empathy boost and retain talent with greater ease, show an interpersonal sensitivity and intercultural elder, by what seems that will have more success in works that involve deal with the customer.

Social skills. 

The interpersonal relations are key for the personal and professional development. It is evident that keep healthy social relations repercute positively in our life. Be nice help. Be communicative of way asertiva, help. Will have more fellow , will have better relations with your bosses and family and even your relations with the possible enemies will be more successful. The people with high social capacities are more effective to the hour to lead changes or persuade to other people, by what will be good agents of teams of work.

It remains therefore quite clear that the labour success and personnel does not happen exclusively for taking out good notes in mathematics in the school, but for cultivating our emotional intelligence.
